Whether on the stage or in The concert or recital hall the young mezzo-soprano, Victoria Rodriguez, has become known for her versatility, vocal excellence and insightful interpretations.
A native of El Paso Texas Ms. Rodriguez holds degrees from the University of North Texas and a Masters Degree from the NYU Steinhardt school of music. On the operatic stage Victoria Rodriguez has appeared with the Brooklyn Opéra Institute , the Maryland Lyric Opera, dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, the New York Lyric Opera, and the Martha Cardona Theatre. Additionally, she recently sang ”Old American Songs "by Aaron Copeland, again with Brooklyn's metro chamber Orchestra, in July, 2017.
An active recitalist , Ms. Rodriguez has recently sung the world premiere of Deon Price's song cycle "To the Children of War" with Brooklyn's Metro Chamber Orchestra. She was given the honor of repricing the song cycle at the Mu Phi Eplison International Convention in Denver, Colorado, and the recent honor in performing the work for a series of intimate concerts in Los Angeles and San Francisco sponsored by NACUSA - LA Chapter.
Victoria has also had the opportunity of performing in scene showcases at La Mama Experimental theatre with dell'Arte Opera, and at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with New York Lyric Opera.
